Get Wild at the 2017 Running Wild 5K Run/Walk & Outdoor Skills Challenge!
Looking for a Summer-time family event with a bang? Join us June 24th for the Running Wild 5K Run/Walk and Outdoor Skills Challenge! Test your skills at trap shooting, spin casting, archery and animal track identification, all while racing through the EE Wilson Wildlife Area near Corvallis. Each activity will be facilitated by certified hunter/angler education instructors provided by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. There will also be music and a wildlife information station at the finish line along with a raptor demonstration by Close Encounters with Perch Wildlife Education, an organization serving to educate people about native species and raising funds for non-profit medical and rehabilitation efforts for Oregon’s native species. The event begins at 9:00 am. This event benefits Pheasants Forever, which is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs. Teams of 5 or more qualify for $5 off each registration.
